St Nicholas’ Ardglass

St. Nicholas's Church is a listed building originally constructed in 1829.

The reordering and extension of the church has been carefully planned to reflect the current liturgical requirements. The new Sanctuary furniture will appropriately located within the newly reordered space. The existing cramped porch will be replaced by a generous gathering space incorporating the new Holy Water/Baptismal Font. Auxiliary accommodation such as the Sacristy's, new meeting room, toilet/baby changing facilities and service areas have been located in a extension that sympathetically complements the existing church and it's setting.

When work is completed the church will be fully serviced. The proposals will improve circulation both inside and outside the church especially for the elderly and disabled persons.
